Dara's Fine Art

This Acrylic on canvas portrays a single white horse with patches rusty red. In the background are washes of deep green and violet with Sienna and gray to complement the colors of the horse.
The beautiful horse in this painting is captured in motion and appears to be coming towards the viewer. To achieve a three-dimensional quality for this painting, I first applied layers of Acrylic paste with a palette knife to form the horse and add texture before adding layers of washes. The spirit of this horse became perceptible as the painting came to fruition.
